CB insights FundingFlash reported $6.9 billion investedin 841 deals for 1q2013.  They reported 47 deals alone on 4/5/2013 with 242.7 million in funding and 56 deals where reported closed on 4/4/2013 with 312.8 million in funding.  Here a few deals that closed recently:

• Clean Power Finance, a Menlo Park, Calif.-based provider of services and financing solutions for the solar industry, has raised $37 million in new VC funding. Edison International and Hennessey Capital were joined by return backers Claremont Creek Ventures, Google Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.www.cleanpowerfinance.com

• GenSight Biologics, a Paris-based ophthalmic therapeutics using gene therapy, has raised €32 million in Series A funding. Backers include Novartis Venture Fund, Abingworth LLP, Versant Ventures and Index Ventures. www.gensight-biologics.com
• Miaozhen Systems, a Chinese third-party big data company in the advertising industry, has raised $10 million in Series C funding. CBC Capital led the round, and was joined by Redpoint Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and TMT. www.miaozhen.com
• NetSocket, a Plano, Texas-based provider of network service assurance solutions for unified communications, has raised $9.2 million in Series B funding. Venture Investors led the round, and was joined by return backers Sevin Rosen Funds, Silver Creek Ventures and Trailblazer Capital.www.netsocket.com
• SavingStar, a Waltham, Mass.-based digital grocery savings service, has raised $9.1 million in Series D funding. Edenred SA (Paris: EDEN) led the round, and was joined by return backers American Express Ventures, DCM, Flybridge Capital Partners, First Round Capital. www.savingstar.com
