  • Finanzchef24, a Munich-based financial services portal that uses a direct marketing model to target small businesses and self-employed individuals, has raised €2 million in VC funding from Target Partnerswww.finanzchef24.de
  • Flatiron Health, a New York-based developer of an oncology data platform, has raised $8 million in Series A funding. Google Ventures led the round, and was joined by First Round Capital, Laboratory Corporation of America, Great Oaks Capital, The Social+Capital Partnership, SV Angel and IA Ventures.www.flatironhealth.com
  • Leonard Green & Partners has acquired CCC Information Services, a Chicago–based provider of software and workflow tools to the insurance automotive claims and collision repair industries, fromInvestcorp. The deal was valued at more than $550 million. www.cccis.com
  • LiquidSpace Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif.-based app that connects people seeking workspace with employers who have empty desks, has raised $6 million in Series B funding, according to VentureWire. GPT Group(Australia) led the round, and was joined by return backers Shasta Ventures, Floodgate and Greylock Partners. www.liquidspaceapp.com
  • MBK Partners has agreed to acquire an 80% stake in Japanese coffee chain Komeda Co. fromAdvantage Partners for approximately $450 million. www.komeda.co.jp
  • Montage Talent, a Delafield, Wis.-based provider of video interviewing solutions, has raised $4 million in new VC funding. The round was led by existing backers Baird Venture PartnersGCI and Calumet Venture Fund, while new investors included Foley Ventures and the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. www.montagetalent.com
  • Moontoast, a Nashville, Tenn.-based social commerce network, has raised $5 million in second-round funding led by Martin Companieswww.moontoast.com
  • NewLeaf Symbiotics Inc., a St. Louis-based company that is developing pink pigmented facultative methylotrophs for use in the agriculture and horticulture industries, has raised $7 million in Series A funding.   • NRI Management Group LLC has secured a $300 million equity commitment from Apollo Global Management, to invest in mining properties around the world. Richmond, Va.-based NRI will focus on coal mining and related assets. www.agm.com
  • Persimmon Technologies Corp., a Wakefield, Mass.-based provider of vacuum robotics and hybrid-field motor technologies, has raised $5.8 million in Series B funding from Intel Capital and The Bernard M. Gordon Charitable Remainder Trust. The company, which serves the semiconductor, LED, FPD and solar equipment markets, previously raised funding from Nidek Sankyo. www.persimmontech.com

  • The Riverside Co. has acquired Operating Tax Systems LLC, a Stowe, Ohio-based provider of driver and vehicle compliance services. No financial terms were disclosed. Riverside will merge OTS into existing portfolio company DISAwww.riversidecompany.com
  • vArmour Networks, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based provider of software-defined security for virtualized data centers, has raised $6 million in Series A funding led by Highland Capital Partnerswww.varmour.com
