2nd Watch Inc., a Seattle-based builder and manager of AWS-based IT operations for enterprise applications, has raised $23 million in growth equity funding. Columbia Capital led the round, and was joined by Madrona Venture Group. www.2ndwatch.com

NEA new enterprise associates

Terrajoule, a Redwood City, Calif.-based developer of a tech platform for distributed energy generation, energy storage and efficiency, has raised $11.5 million in Series A funding. Backers include New Enterprise Associates, ALIAD and individual investors. www.terrajoulecorp.com

Midatech Ltd., a UK-based developer of nanomedicines based on biocompatible gold-nanoparticles, has raised £10 million in new VC funding led by Swiss investment firm Ippon Capital.www.midatechgroup.com

Entouch Controls,, has raised $8.25 million in Series B equity and debt financing. SJF Ventures led the round, and was joined by NRG Energy and return backer Trailblazer Capital. The debt came from Comerica Bank. www.entouchcontrols.com

CyPhy Works, a Danvers, Mass.-based developer of unmanned aerial vehicles, has raised $7 million in new VC funding. Lux Capital led the round, and was joined by General Catalyst Partners, Felicis Ventures and individual angels. www.cyphyworks.com

Seeq Corp., a Seattle-based provider of software that transforms industrial process data from sensors and instrument systems into useful information and actionable intelligence, has raised $6 million in Series A funding. Second Avenue Partners led the round, and was joined by Madrona Venture Group, Clear Fir Partners, Gaylord Kellogg and John Meisenbach. www.seeq.com

Bambeco Inc., a Baltimore-based maker of home furnishings and décor for “eco-conscious” consumers, has raised $4.5 million in first-round funding. New Atlantic Ventures led the round, and was joined by the Maryland Venture Fund and individual angels. www.bambeco.com

Zola, a New York-based wedding registry website, has raised $3.25 million in Series A funding led byThrive Capital. Company co-founder and chairman Kevin Ryan also participated. www.zola.com

SiTime Corp., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based chipmaker, has raised an undisclosed amount of VC funding led by Innovative Venture Fund (co-managed by NEC Capital Solutions and SMBC Venture Capital). The company also secured an undisclosed amount of venture debt funding from Hercules Technology Growth Capital. www.sitime.com
